PLAYER’S Responsibilities & Code of Conduct
Training and Matches:
- Be properly equipped at all times. Training gear should always include shirt, shorts, socks, shin guards, and soccer cleats
- Please make sure all clothing is weather conducive
Behavior:
- Conduct yourself with class and dignity on and off the field
- Treat the opposition with the respect they deserve
- Treat referees with the respect they deserve
- Be a supportive teammate
- Be responsible for your own affairs and decisions
- Observe all team and club rules
- Train and play with the necessary intensity and focus
- Give 100% 100% of the time
- Respect the decisions of the coach and approach them with any personal concerns in a respectful and adult fashion
- Face adversity and challenge with a strong conviction and do not quit
- Represent yourself, your family, and the club as best you can in all situations
General Responsibilities:
- All issues of misbehavior or breaking of any laws will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the CGSA and GYSA rules.
- All injuries must be reported to your coach, trainer or team manager. Training and playing on injuries could result in serious long term damage
- Abusive and foul language will not be tolerated at any time
- Do not forget that you will be assessed both on and off the field
- Respect for all other players and coaches will be of the highest standard at all times
- Referees may make mistakes during the course of a game. However, they are in charge at all times. Accept all decisions gracefully. Never argue or question any decision
- Your coach is in charge at all times. You will respect and obey him/her during training and matches. When the coach/trainer speaks, no one else does!
