CGSA does not have a full time Association Administrator so office hours varies each day.  It is suggested that you call the office first to make sure it is open.

What is the soccer season?
Soccer is played in two season during a calendar year. The Fall season starts with registration being held in June. The practice sessions will then begin in August with the playing season starting the first weekend in September and running for approximately 10 weeks. The Spring season starts with registration in December. Practice starts in February with the games starting the first weekend in March. The season will run for approximately 10 weeks.

How old can the players be to play soccer?
The age date for soccer registration is Aug 1st. A player must be at least 4 years old on Aug. 1st to be eligible for the following Fall season. Likewise, for the Spring season, the player must have been at least 4 years old on Aug. 1st of the previous year. No player can be over 18 years of age on Aug. 1st of the given year to play.

What equipment is required to play?
ALL players MUST have shin guards to be allowed to play in a game or to practice. The shin guards MUST be made of an approved material and may not be "home-made" of any kind. Cleats are optional (but recommended). Players may play in regular tennis shoes. The uniform will be distributed by the coach after the team has formed.

How do I know what age group my child will play in?
The players are split up by the age that they are on Aug 1st as required for registration. The groups are designated as U-6, U-8, U-10, U-12 and so on. U-6 means Under 6, i.e. 4 and 5 year olds. U-8 means Under 8, i.e. 6 and 7 year olds, and so on. A player may play up in an age group but can not play down. Therefore, a 6 year old could play U-8, but a 8 year old can not play U-6.

Are all the games on Saturday?
Currently, there are some games that are played on Sunday to Friday. MOST of all the games will be on Saturday, but you may have an occasional game not on a Saturday. Practice is typically on either Mon. & Wed. or Tues. & Thurs. of each week.
